Dr. AsfaM. Yasin, Reader (Fisheries) and In-charge Head

Ph.D in Fisheries from Aligarh Muslim University. Research work is on the behavior of fishes due to metal toxicity. Worked as Assistant Professor in Fisheries at Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University, Jabalpur, and as Jr. Scientist (In charge Fish Farm) at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Science, Srinagar. Since 1995 working at PSSCIVE (NCERT). Presently holding the Post of Reader, Agriculture Division. Area of work includes Fish Culture/Aquaculture, Vocational Education in general and with reference to Fresh Water Fisheries and Marine Fisheries. She has organized 30 programmes at national and state level to orient key functionaries of vocational education. She has to her credit 60 publications, which include papers, articles, papers presented in national and international seminar, books and curricula in the area of Fisheries, vocational education, value education and minority education. Under Colombo Exchange Programme undertook advance training in Fisheries (1992-93) as Visiting Scientist. She was also invited as expert in the Consortium on Aquaculture Education in South-East Asian countries held at Vietnam. She was sponsored by FAO, Rome in November 2002.<Top>

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. R. K. Pathak, Reader (Horticulture)

Dr. R.K. Pathak, born in 1965, obtained B.Sc. (Ag) (First Position in University) and M.Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture from Kanpur University, Kanpur and M.Sc. (Ag.) Plant Pathology and Ph.D degree from C.S. Azad University of Agricultural and Technology, Kanpur. Specialized in the field of Mycology and Plant Pathology. Worked as Scientist (Rice Pathologist) from 1994-2000 at Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur. Since June 2001 working at PSSCIVE (NCERT) as Reader, Agriculture Division. He has to his credit 20 research papers and popular articles published in National and International Journals/magazines. He has participated in several national and international conferences/seminars/workshops. Presently involved in developing instructional materials and modular curricula in the area of Horticulture.<Top>

 

 

 

 

Dr. V.S. Mehrotra, Reader (Plant Protection)

Dr. Vinay Swarup Mehrotra, born in 1965, obtained his B.Sc. (Ag.) and M.Sc. (Ag.) degree from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar and D.Phil. degree from Allahabad University, Allahabad, specialising in the field of Mycology and Plant Pathology. He is the recipient of "Krishi Ratna" Dr. M.S. Swaminathan Jr. Research Fellowship in Plant Pathology awarded by World Agriculture Fair Memorial during M.Sc. programme. Dr. Mehrotra was awarded K.S. Krishnan Research Fellowship by the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India to work on mycorrhiza for his D.Phil. degree. He has to his credit several research papers/articles in national and international journals. He has participated in several national conferences/seminars/workshops. He was awarded S.N. Das Gupta Gold medal by the Indian Phytopathological Society, New Delhi for the best paper presentation at a symposium.

Dr. Mehrotra worked as Principal Investigator in the Department of Science and Technology's (DST) Young Scientist Project on Mycorrhiza. He is also working as Member Secretary of National Centre for Vocational Education Information (NCVEI) at PSSCIVE. Dr. Mehrotra is actively involved in the Development of Guidelines, Curricula and Instructional Materials for formal and non-formal Vocational Education Programme. He has participated in an International Workshop on Computer Networking organised by UNEVOC in Bandung, Indonesia. Presently, he is working as Reader in Vocational Education (Plant Protection).<Top>

 

 

 

 

Dr. Uadal Singh, Lecturer (horticulture)

Dr. Uadal Singh, born in 1977, obtained B.Sc. (Ag) from Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner. He completed his M.Sc. and Ph. D. in Horticulture with specialization in Post Harvest Technology from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He has received ICAR Junior Research Fellowship during M.Sc. and Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship during his Ph.D. programme. He has to his credit several research papers and popular articles published in National and International Journals/magazines. He has also published two books on Post Harvest Technology and Horticulture. Presently involved in research, development and extension related to vocational education and training. <Top>
